A FEW SIMPLE TIPS TO GET YOU GOING IN GOLF
1. WORK ON YOUR FLEXIBILITY
13 years on tour, and the one thing I keep up with is my flexibility. It's very important in golf to be flexible.
2. START LEARNING ON THE GREEN
Learn to chip and putt, and the long game will come.
3. JUST HIT IT AS HARD AS YOU CAN
Kids need to learn how to hit it hard. Fundamentals will come later. You can't teach how to hit it long.
4. PICK A TARGET
For aiming, I always pick a target where I want the ball to end. Find a spot a few feet in front of you that lines you up with that address.
5. GET FITTED
To find the best clubs for you, you need to get fitted.
6. DON'T BE AFRAID TO MAKE THE OCCASIONAL BET
Play your game under pressure – it will make you better.
7. LOVE THE GAME
I have and still do to this day. The best way to be good at something is to love it.
8. HAVE FUN
Most importantly, have a good time. It's a game, after all.
